6 Surprising Things That I’ve Experienced In 2020!!

2020 has been a total shock for some of us and things happened that caught us off guard. Perhaps since the era of the year changed, that was a bomb that landed on our heads. πŸ˜‚ This pandemic and the longest election ever has made this year one of the strangest years drizzled in what the hell moments lol but I still had an overall good year. The year isn’t over yet though. Here are some of the BIG things that caught me off guard πŸ˜‚

  1. So my dog howls when I mention the name of his dog buddies. πŸ• I’ve never heard him howl before! I thought it was only a wild wolf thing. πŸ€” I took him to visit one of his pals from the old neighborhood and he was pleased.
  2. My best friend and I flirt A LOT now …nearly a decade later and  BOOM where are all these weird feelings coming from that we don’t understand?… πŸ’.. lol πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ Not…him. phew TOTALLY UNEXPECTANT. We both had to stop each other from flirting yesterday. πŸ˜‚ I needed to go to my safe place and meditate 😊 Gosh, him?  lmao πŸ˜‚ now my heart is beating. phew
  3. I gave up coffee months ago. I know, I don’t see how I did it but consuming coffee so much slacks up your routine. I had to let that habit go because I was totally dependent on it.. πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ (refer to a previous blog discussing this dilemma lol.)
  4. One of my dead plants from the summer started back blooming. I thought it was dead from all that heat this summer..I left it alone for months, but just like Lazarus, it rose from the dead.  πŸ˜‚  πŸ₯€πŸŒΉ It’s blooming yellow and I take it as a sign of renewal. I’ll rename it Lazarus lol
  5. I got a blood transfusion over the summer while in the hospital.. bc I’m anemic πŸ§›β€β™€οΈlol wasn’t as creepy as I thought…it increased my intuition. Maybe I’m a vampire because I do work part time as a psychic and I stay up late and love gloomy weather lol
  6. I finally got a Camaro in January after dreaming of it as a child..Dreams really do come true 😁. ……………So there you have it. I am thankful that my surprises weren’t anything negative; if they were, it’s best to turn negatives into positives. What were some things that took you by surprise in this ROLLERCOASTER of a year? lol Oh yes and we had a full moon on Halloween, how unpredictable was that? lol

How To Embrace Your Chocolate, Sistah.

I just got an email from one of my blog readers telling me sometimes she doesn’t feel  confident with her dark complexion. She’s so very beautiful both inside and out and maybe 19 years old… so I am trying to figure out why would she be so concerned.  Beauty on the inside brings out beauty on the outside however. I am always humbled when I get emails from my readers that I inspire, but if you have low confidence because of your skin, you are going to have to work on your inner confidence FIRST and foremost. This mentality is forced down from the slave masters and from the media, sadly. Please don’t allow this to burden you from those who are still in mental slavery. They’re the losers! To judge someone for their complexion is insane- rather lightskin or darkskin.

Alek Wek -【Biography】Age, Net Worth, Height, In Relation, Nationality

I remember seeing this African model on MTV many years ago and she had a short bald hair cut. Many black people (our own people) would say she was unattractive while the other races praised her. However, when she walked the runway and spoke with confidence she appeared and seemed beautiful because she was beautiful from within. If she had any flaws, her inner beauty made her look super beautiful.

One thing I love to do is learn from the African models on Instagram and whenever I am traveling.. because they have amazing confidence and they embrace their feminism. When I’d travel to big cities, these ladies were full of confidence and always loved to dress up.

I admit, I am a stalker of Sedanase, Ghanan and Ethiopian models and I love being inspired by other women instead of being envious. LEARN AND EMBRACE! Most importanty, if you really want your dark skinned to be noticed and feel confident, the secret is to wear bright cool or bright warm colors. Another tip is to add a hint of cocoa butter oil to the skin or cheeks. This adds a certain glow to the skin. For some reason that is like seeing magic. Trust me!

If I were darker, I’d probably wear bright colors all the time just because of how it draws attention to chocolate skin. Luckily, you don’t have to really worry about acne scars or wrinkles lol You just need to love being you and keep looking good and feeling confident. Hope this helps..

To Be Envied Or Inspire..

To be envied or to inspire??..that is the question. I had a girl told me she used to be jealous of me and I was a bit surprised.. Honestly I’d rather inspire people than to be envied. If people are envious then you have no friends and I only have a few…. always wanted a big group of positive girlfriends. I feel if we inspire others then there will be no room for envy because people will be motivated to become their best self. Your energy will light theirs up just from yours being bright.Β  Ever been around certain people that just made you feel an energy boost just from being around them? That’s what you should feel and who you should be around.

If not, be the one to help them feel positive by first working on yourself and becoming your greatest version.

When I’d find out someone felt that way I’d be like “There is no need to be if you knew all the sad things I overcame.” I am thankful I can use that to motivate others. God kept me and I am still here.Β  Be thankful. Smile. Love. Focus on what’s best for you in this life you have. πŸ™ƒπŸŒž Life is too short. Great memories last longer. Make them.
