I HAVE AN OBSESSION WITH LEOPARD CHEETAH PRINTS!!!! What could welcome the season of autumn than the prints of a cheetah? When I saw these were on sale from Fashion Nova, I immediatly made my purchase online. I have always wanted to own a pair of cheetah print leggings and here they are snugging tightly to my glorious curves. The brown and black print naturally fits with the autumn weather and the bronzeness of my complexion.
The leggings don’t feel thin, the fabric is actually warm ad stretchy giving me a comfortable sensation. I have another confession, I wore these leggings two days in a row because they are so comfortable. They can also be worn in a dressy style with a brown or black top. I worked out in them and they make working out easy because of the material.

I just finished my 2 miles and I almost wanted to stop, but I kept pushing through to get to the end. I was always told if you want something hard enough you have to put in effort and make it happen. You can’t just sit around and wait for things to happen without kicking and pushing forward.
You must learn to kick through the walls and push away the negative. This concept is applied sometimes in Karate and even with skateboarding. (All thanks to Lupe Fiasco’s hip hop hit Kick Push.) When you see karate you see the martial artists going against the oppentant he pushes him and kicks him, blocking him from trying to win his victory.
In skateboarding, the skateboarders have a technique with their foot where they push to get some good motion and kick to glide through. I find it interesting that we must use the same techniques in life, but mentally. Are you kicking and pushing through all the BS in order to win your victory? Are you gliding through?
I haven’t worked out in about 3 weeks because I don’t want to lose any of my good weight. I’d like to keep some of my fun body parts lol I worked out for 100 days straight ever since New Years Eve 2019 (big goal) and I recently finished a 10k (another big goal!) When I work out hard it’s usually to either lose or to build. ..So although I’ve reached my goal, I’ve been doing light cardio to maintain everything and watching what I put in my mouth.
Sometimes people reach their goal and not sure what to do after getting there. They either gain it all back or lose what they don’t want to lose.
If you don’t pay attention sometimes then that’s when all the uncessary weight comes from. (and that’s what I try to be cautious of.) So I’ve been taking it easy..but still being physically active daily and choosing my foods carefully. Next week I’ll be back to building; lifting my weights for lower body and keeping my core toned. I never really lift heavy weights on upper body. If I need to tone my arms I use aerobics for that area. I try to keep a feminine form, but I love creating a sexy cut in my back. 😊😊
To be envied or to inspire??..that is the question. I had a girl told me she used to be jealous of me and I was a bit surprised.. Honestly I’d rather inspire people than to be envied. If people are envious then you have no friends and I only have a few…. always wanted a big group of positive girlfriends. I feel if we inspire others then there will be no room for envy because people will be motivated to become their best self. Your energy will light theirs up just from yours being bright. Ever been around certain people that just made you feel an energy boost just from being around them? That’s what you should feel and who you should be around.
If not, be the one to help them feel positive by first working on yourself and becoming your greatest version.
When I’d find out someone felt that way I’d be like “There is no need to be if you knew all the sad things I overcame.” I am thankful I can use that to motivate others. God kept me and I am still here. Be thankful. Smile. Love. Focus on what’s best for you in this life you have. 🙃🌞 Life is too short. Great memories last longer. Make them.
I have been training for my 3rd run/walk for months. My first 2 runs were 5ks but I have never done a 10k before. This year I’m taking it up a notch with a life long goal of finally completing the Cooper River Bridge Run in one of my favorite cities, Charleston, SC. I just love everything about the city of Charleston: the food, the music, the history, the art and most of all knowing that my best friend, Carolyn, lives there.
One of the things I wanna do is say that I’ve FINALLY made it over that bridge. Running over that triangle bridge (the battery) will be my symbol of overcoming all the past obstacles in my life. ⭐🙌❤ My mom doesn’t seem to agree when I do these type of things, but I have always been the risky/dare devil child of hers. 😈 Tell my mom that she can go stuff her mouth with an egg. 😂 jk (love u mom.) Excuse me as I prepare for this evenings workout. There is a crystal clear bottle of Dasani water waiting for me and I shall devour it. 😊 💦
I told my mama that she and my dad should join the senior citizens workout class at the hospital and she cussed me out and said, “sh*t, yo dad ain’t gonna do that! He don’t even move around at his own damn house.” 🤦♀️😂😂😂
I walk at the park each day and she keeps saying she will join me, but of course it’s either too hot or too cold.
For over a year I have asked her to walk with me and the dog down our street… she says she isn’t in the mood and does enough yard work as it is lol 🤦♀️😂 🤔 She did walk with the kids (my niece and nephew) to Burger King to treat them out for breakfast lol Doesn’t count.
Sigh. When you try to get your mother to be more physically active, but she prefers to stay in bed and watch old cowboy westerns 😂 She is a very strong woman for her age though. She can push refrigerators and sofas to get things out from under them lol
I always try to push my mom to get some sort of of exercise. Sometimes if she has me to take her to the store, I’ll park further off in the parking lot (sometimes) so she can get in a quick workout 😂
I think it is important to get your parents or grandparents active physically. If you want them to be around longer, it shouldn’t be a question. Continue to check up on them and their health. Don’t forget to always ask if they are taking needed medications and getting their vitamins; even if you annoy them. I like to joke to my mom that I will check her into Shady Pines Retirement home 😂 (The retirement home that Sophia wasn’t so fond of from The Golden Girls 😂)
Tell me your funny stories of how you get your parents, grandparents to get active?
I like making women feel good about their appearance and being helpful to uplift their confidence. I feel if we do this, maybe the world will be free of haters because we’ll be inspiring each other when we help each other. Maybe I’m just too nice. 🤷♀️ I’ve never had any interest in being a hater or putting other women down. I would often wonder if that meant I was not normal lol I’m always admiring or being motivated by women that are doing great things or looking amazing.
I was telling a very sweet woman how I lost weight because she couldn’t believe I was over 200lbs last year. Yesterday, this cashier in WalMart wanted to know how I defined my eyebrows. I was holding up the line going into detail to show her how I do my brows and what I use. They were both very thankful for the information I gave them.
Never hold back from educating other queens on health and beauty, they may not know much of it or afraid to ask. Everyone deserves to look and feel beautiful. No woman shouldn’t feel insecure about her appearance. Take care of yourself 100% and help another queen blossom.
Ummm 🙄 I wasn’t expecting to get my waist this tiny, but that’s only because I’m trying to bulk up by New Years. I had to clean up and tighten a little before building more bricks to my temple 💪💪
I got rid of belly fat… now to get ripped and she-bulk…which means earlier mornings in the gym 🤪 I am not an early- bird, but I read that starting your workouts in the morning will give you more of a positive day. ☀️ I haven’t even had coffee for two mornings and I am already feeling all the feels.
Before I lost the unwanted fat, I was eating lots of bread and adding heavy grease to my cooking. I can remember being so bloated and that screwed up my mood and comfortability. Phew. So I made a few changes to my diet and worked out real hard. The 21 day fix was what got rid of my unwanted fat on my belly. TRY IT!
I ALSO went plant based but I can’t seem to get off of it. I think that helped with all this boost to my mood, but that’s another blog. 🤗
